Release is pretty quick. I've never had any complaints about the attack. I really like having it on for pick playing, as it tames just enough of the peakiness to make it sound punchier without fully stifling the attack.

    You picked a good one.
That's not difficult though, since there are no bad ones.

I know this is heresy and I am most likely the weird one, but I didn't like my first two Bro-ton pedals (Azure drive and Broughctave didn't work for me). The amazing awesomeness of the Joshwah has made up for that though. :)

If I had unlimited disposable income I'd just buy and flip and rebuy Broughton pedals all day every day. Flipping my JoshWahs and PLL was the wrong thing, but I don't regret the others I've flipped.

Terraformer was supposed to be in this coming Monday 7/18, thanks @Azure Skies for the quick shipping from Canada before your break.

  9. I've had my Terra about 1 month or so now. It's my always on. It's paired with a Southampton 5th gear for those times when more is more.

I just got a L+Hpf last week and cant believe i went so long without one

What really attracted me to the Terra is how most have raved about the blend being very natural. A lot of overdrives feel like the dirty signal is slapped on top of the clean, or mixed in a weird (not good) way. Hoping for the best with the Terra. I should get to try it out tonight.

I might need your all's help dialing in the Terraformer. I wasn't loving it last night. It really darkens, dampens my tone. I'm going to work with it more tonight and see if I can get it going.

Hmm, I know what you're saying actually. I'm still trying to get it fully dialed in.

I dealt with it by getting a tone and gain level I liked with a fully wet signal, then once I found something, i dialed the blend back to get some of the brightness of my original tone in there. I found that the full wet signal had too much gain when I put the dry through, so I cut some gain and added back dry blend and added volume and Ive got ended up with a really light OD signal that I'm feeling good about. I've got the bass boosted to about 2 o'clock, the mid at about 11, the treb at 2, the volume at about 1, dry at about 3 and gain at 1.

So far I've discovered it works best as a very subtle effect pedal, you cant dime it and get a grind out of it, it needs to be finessed.

Quick release typically equals less sustain. How fast is the attack? I'm hoping for slow attack, meaning more time before the compressor latches on and squashes the signal according to the ratio set.

Can you share what amp and cab you’re running it through?
