Brubaker 4 string for sale or trade. Maple neck and fretboard, quilt maple top in tobacco-burst. Bartolini pickups and preamp. Nick in the headstock is the only mark on it.

Asking $1300 + s/h. Will consider trades and trades + cash for 4/5 string basses, amps, etc.

    More pictures available by email.

What is the preamp? 2 band or 3? Are you the original owner?

Preamp is a bartolini, as are the pickups. Two band preamp, volume, pickup mix (?). I'm not the original owner, got it here in a trade a few months ago.

I'd love some more pictures. The headstock, the back, closeup of fretboard, etc. You can post them here, or you have my email address.

    Thanks

Hey, just because I decided against your Smith doesn't mean you have to move in on the Brubaker! :D :D :D

Still in search of that perfect 4 string!

A quick hype of this bass:

Plays wonderfully, looks incredible, sounds beautiful. I should have never let it go. Wish I had the cabbage to get it back.

I'm curious, if it is a 2 band pre-amp, then what is the stacked knob? Thanks.

The knobs are, from back to front: volume, stacked bass/treble, bridge pickup, neck pickup.

The standard setup is (from closest to the bridge):

Volume, stacked Treble/Bass, push/pull Mids (two centers), pan pot. Some basses did go out with a one position Mid control.

What do the last two knobs ("bridge pickup, neck pickup") on yours do?

Purty! I assume it is 34" scale? Not in the market, just curious. :D

Dunno how i missed that last one....scale length is from the nut to the front end of the bridge, right? If so, then yes, 34'.

Still available. I'd really like to trade for a fretless 4 or 5, or a nice j 4/5 with rosewood fretboard, or w/ some cash (from the other party) and a epifani 410 ul, or w/ some cash (from me) towards an Aguilar db750.
