Going to relist this fantastic bass. Took the ad down because I played it at a couple of gigs and just love the feel and tone. But life is changing for me and I need to sell it if I can. Open to offers but please, don't lowball me as I won't reply. Here is a 2014 Brubaker JBX5 standard, excellent condition with a Babicz bridge. It has an alder body, maple neck, flamed maple fretboard with mother of pearl blocks, matching figured maple pick guard! Loaded with Aguilar p/u's in 70's position, Bartolini 3 band preamp. 34 inch scale, 19mm spacing at bridge. 9.5 lbs. Neck profile is thin and very comfortable, feels like a $3000 bass should feel. Go to the Brubaker website, this is a handmade usa bass. Check out the deep neck joint on this bass, just awesome. No trades. Shipping included in ohsc. {} {}
Wow. I've always wanted to try one of these. This has everything I want in a 5-string J-Bass. GLWTS, man.
I'm sort of at a loss why this is still here, at this low price. But there are a lot of good deals in the classified, seems like people are not buying from the classifieds right now, unless it's a bass that's very sought after. I'm gonna knock another 50 bucks off and if that doesn't do it, I'll keep it. And for the record, all the components were custom ordered from Brubaker by the original owner. Bridge, electronics, wood, a lot of upgrades here costing close to 3 grand new. You can't get close to a hand made usa boutique jazz 5 string at this price.
And, here I am, coming back to this instrument. But sadly, I can't do anything until after the holidays. Dammit.
