    Price:
    $1100
    Strings:
    5
    Location:
    California
    Edit (11/27): I'd sell this for $1100.

Y2K USA Brubaker NBS-LW in great used condition. Charging cable is included of course, as is a copy of an owner's manual. Can ship in a gig bag, or if you're local, provide a larger case. It's 34 5/8" scale, with 19mm spacing at the bridge (or very close), and a weight of 9.8 lbs (or very close). Maple neck/board obviously, but I'm not sure of the body...maybe it's maple? I haven't checked with Brubaker. Excellent construction as you'd expect.

All other 5 string lightwave basses I've seen/played had narrower spacing, but this one has a different bridge design. It's still adjustable, and has indicator lights for adjusting height and checking the charge. It holds its charge for weeks or longer depending on how much you use it. It currently has rounds on it for a more articulate voice; I prefer flats if I'm dialing a lot of piezo.

I'm digging this Brubaker on its own, but I'd like a different vibe given the rest of my stable and the kind of music I want to play. Things that will get my attention:
    Double (upright) bass
    Electric upright bass
    Acoustic, semi hollow, chambered basses
    Fretless basses
    Traditional/Vintage vibe basses

I'm pretty flexible on number of strings, depending on the bass. Five is my home on bass guitar, but I'd consider most anything. Four is my home for DB and EUB but I'd try something else. I'm also flexible on scale length but I do prefer wider bridge spacing.

Please start a private conversation with ideas. Sideways, up, or down are all good...

I'll add more pictures in a bit.

It’s not mint, but it’s in great shape as you can see. Thanks!

All emails replied to. A person requested information about the preamp and case, so I’m posting pictures of both. On the preamp, you can see the pots for individual string adjustment. In regards to the gig bag/case, I can ship in either the Levy’s case or the Music Area one. I wasn’t sure if the bigger one would fit in the shipping box, but I think it does.

Great looking bass! I love Kevin's work.
Are you sure the bass is 34"scale?
I believe all of Brubaker bass are 34 5/8"
    I could be wrong...

Thanks for the question and compliment! I’ll confirm later tonight. You might be correct.

Some good offers, but I'm pickier than I realize. Might put it up for sale soon, but for now, still focused on trades.

Decided to put this back on the market. I like it, but it's not filling any gaps in my collection. I put new strings on it and lowered the action.

Other than a straight sale, I'd trade for an electric upright (EUB), or something acoustic or semi-acoustic. Fretless is always fun too.
