Bruce Springsteen - Nebraska

Discussion in 'Recordings [BG]' started by dancehallclasher, Apr 30, 2003.

  1. i first got ahold of this a few weeks back, and it's quickly shot to one of my favorite albums. i didn't really get the appeal of springsteen from listening to his more rock 'n' roll stuff, but this album is really haunting and touching. the way he can turn such simple half-stories into such great songs is mind-boggling. it's pretty bleak, but ends with the perfect glimmer of hope.

so i recommend this to anyone except for the "OMG if it has no bass it's crap" types.

One of my favorite Bruce albums! Done on a four track Tascam........every song is a movie! I never thought I would see this brought up on a bass forum...very cool:cool:

I agree. It is a great album. Try "Ghost of Tom Joad" aswell. It is lacking the arena rock feeling.
