    Hey Guys

What is your favourite finish to use when working with Buck Eye Burl...as you know the Buck Eye will darken dramatically...is there anything out there that minimizes darkening?

    Thanks

Water-base polyurethane darkens less than any other finish that I know of. It's basically dead clear, unless you deliberately add pigment to tint it. I sprayed a buckeye burl-topped guitar body with it for another Luthier a few months ago.

These days I'm using (Rustoleum) Park ProFinisher Water-Base Polyurethane for Floors. I've also used similar products by Varathane, MinWax, and Target.

Tons of good info about these finishes over on this thread:
Using water based products for instrument finishing, Target Coatings 9000 6000 and Varathane WB
