I got a promo copy of it. There's some neat stuff on there. I think Claypool's getting better with age.

Yeah, I've got the advance release of it. It's a good album and I'll definately buy it when it enters stores. Good production, very unique and odd bass tones, and lots of FUNK. I think this album is the funkiest bass playing Les has ever done. He's rivaling bootsy on a few riffs  :D

Col. Claypool & A Bucket Of Bernie BRAINS. I also want it.
...at the very least, get the name right!

Those that have already scooped up a 'copy'...how does it compare to the Praxis album with Buckethead, Bootsy, Brain, & Worrell?

Personally I think it will be completely different from any of the Praxis albums.

allthough he lacks the stage presents he used to have, his musicality is on the up rise... that and he keeps finding better and better musicians to play with.

I saw them at their first show during Jazzfest in New Orleans a few years ago. They got on stage and improvised the whole set. It was obviously the Les Claypool show, but when is Les involved in something when it's not all about him? Overall, it was pretty cool, although pretty fragmented and not really gelling 100%. It was alot of fun though, especially seeing Buckethead going around "killing" various members of the band with a plastic toy chainsaw.

I really dig Praxis. If this is like that, I may have to check it out.

EDIT: Ween opened up for them. They sucked. C2B3 was worth suffering throught them, though.

Can't say I'm surprised. Goofy, sophomoric comedy rock.
