Budget 5 strings with Wide Spacing. 18 or 19mm, Recs?

The Sadowsky MetroExpress probably has 19 mm.

 

I think the Squier Vintage Modified V might be what you are after.

 

Hard to say without your definition, or dollar amount, of the word "budget".

 

Sometimes you can pickup a used Japanese BTB for that price.

 

Yamaha BB, something in the 400 series (I have a 425X) is 18mm. Brubaker Brute is 19mm. You'd probably have an easier time finding a used Yamaha.

 

Used Ibanez BTB. Great basses for the money. I made a lot of money with one for about 5 years.
