    I am impressed with the caliber of the basses on this forum. There are a lot 4 figure basses here. I might step into that world someday.

    I wanted to post a picture of my budget collection. I was thinking that new younger bass players that don't have a lot of $$$ might get intimidated by some of thses collection.

    I don't think I have paid more than 500.00 for any of my basses.

    What brand of bass is the one in the middle in the picture on the left? Is it a Hofner or a copy?

    It's a Hofner Contemporary Club Bass, it's different from the 2 Hofner Icon (299.00), The Contemporary CLub has the same pick ups as the Hofner and the headstock Logo is gold not white like the Hofner Icon. It was still under 500.00.Close but under.

    BTW, It's weird because I have seen the Hofner Contemporary Club on eBay for close to 800.00.
