    Call in sick.

I wish he'd get his arse near me somewhere. I'd love to see him live.

  3. Hmm...
If I knew you in person, and we were pretty good friends...I'd probably be saying "Sucks for you!" then I'd go get a ticket for myself. :p

But...since I don't know you in person, and we're not "pretty good friends" in person...
    That sucks.

    :p

I must say that I have had similar situations and have got no sympathy whatsoever from friends or fellow band members. Their view has been that it is alway better to be doing something active and creative, rather than being passive and just spectating - most of them say I'm lucky to be getting so many gigs!!

  5. Hey Brucey, have you read my signature? :p

    Actually, this thread reminds me...
I'm going to see Steve Vai next Thursday! Woohoo! :D

And the band doesn't mind. 3 of the other 4 guys are comin', too! :D

Eh? Don't see the relevance?

  7. I was mostly referring to the "...you're not alone.
And yet you are alone. So very alone.
    " part.

Or am I just getting really sleepy and not making any sense?

    Sounds like it!

I was just saying that lots of people I know would love to be playing gigs at all and would miss anything to be up on stage.

  9. Heh...

    Sorry 'bout that.

I dunno, I'm just so hyped because this is gonna be the first (music) show I've ever gone to. Afterwards, I'll let you know where my preferences would lie. :p
