Does anybody have any good links for how to build a cab.
There's lots of good info on Ted Weber's board.
Look on the upper left at the "Enclosures" tab.
I'd also encourage you to read "The loudspeaker design cookbook" by Vance Dickason.
Whatever you do, don't build anything until you've got a grasp of the science behind it.
Absolutely right...and allow more time and more money than you think you need for the first one because everyone ALWAYS messes up the first one.
And buy GOOD tools, Avoid that Wal-Mart crap.
Rumour has it that Wal-Mart has manufacturers make stuff for them to sell at a price and the quality is compromised to meet the price target...rumour has it...
The sewing machine my wife has is an example...
if you build a cabinet, don't do it to save money. because, unless you have all the tools you need, the skills to use them. and scrap material laying around (speakers or wood etc..), you will end up spending more.
i do encourage you to build a cab though. just do it for the sense of accomplishment and bragging rights. and study up first.
