Build My Own Cabinet for Bass

Discussion in 'Amps and Cabs [BG]' started by Brad Berryman, Mar 1, 2003.

  1. I want to build my own bass cabinet to be driven by a 1982ish Peavey Combo 300. I would like a 15",8",and horn. How would I go about proper size, crossover, and Impedence?

Use the search feature here and you will discover all that you seek. Such things have been discussed many times. "Cabinet Building 101" was a thread title I believe.

i just bought PA speakers from my manager, and he built them himself. There are programs that calculate dimensions for cabinets. It's what he used, and they sound awesome. Be sure to look for a program for this. Otherwise your cabinet can have bad standing waves and ther problems. Good luck!
  5. Thanks for the info. It looks like that thread is really informative.
