building a bass

    has anyone here ever built there own bass? I have thought about building a bass similar to wal. if that cant work i think i will attempt to build a rickenbacker 4003 copy. Any information on building a bass and choosing pickups and wood would be very helpful. I need all the help i can get hah.

    Ask some questions in the luthiers forum here on talkbass. There are some very reputable bass builders here and can give you some very sound advice, the name Ken Smith comes to mind.
