    Butternut yellow:

I've always loved this color for a Camaro, but what about for a bass guitar? it's kind of like a vintage white.

Here's the bass I'd be refinishing:

I like yellow guitars and basses and that is a nice subtle yellow. It would look great!

I think your bass is gorgeous as is...

If it were mine I'd leave it as... But the right colour could be special. The muted yellow can be great!

I think that bass would look great in that colour. Of course, you could finish it in Olympic White nitro and let it fade to "Butternut" naturally, which seems to be happening to my Oly White AVRI 62 Precision not even after a year of owning it. I say go for it.

Yeah... but I really think this color pops when you've got a contrasting pick guard to match, al la ShrimpFlea's bass.

Thanks! I had thought about using Reranch nitro colors, but finally let the idea go because of how long it takes the nitro to cure. Then I saw one of these:

and I remembered how much I like that color. After investigating a bit I found a great site that sells auto touch up paint and I can get that green easily.

Now I'm debating about going with the butternut color because that's another muscle car color I've always liked. I can be finished with the refin in less than a week.

No pickguard option on this bass, but there's plenty of black with the three pickups.

I'd go with the yellow (butternut). It has a nice vintage aged white look to it.

    Do what you like.
Pretty much every one has said to do it.
I'm disgusted by the color. I do not like butternut squash soup either. Totally disgusted.

What about the green? Are you not a big fan of split pea soup, either? :D
