Buying a bass in the USA....

Discussion in 'Basses [BG]' started by Rippin' Robin, Jun 24, 2001.

  1. I may be travelling to the states for a tour this October. since I'm looking for a new bass, would it be a good idea to trade in my old bass in the US? The market seems to be so much bigger than in the Netherlands, and the prices seem to be much lower there, too.

Does anyone have a clue how much $$$ an 8-month old Ibanez SR405 would be worth in the US?

I'm sure it would be much less than you'll get for it if you sell locally. You see, since we have a bigger market, we also have more SR405 basses than your local market. Higher supply means lower demand, which translates into lower prices, which you obviously noticed.

    Think globally. Sell locally.
