Hey guys, need some buying advice. I came across a 5 string Yamaha RBX 375 the other day. Plays really really well. Nice slim neck, nice and low action. No buzzing. It's surprisingly perfect. However, the bass has some cosmetic imperfections. Has a few scratches and a nick that's about half the size of half an eraser head on the side of the body. Have any of you bought a bass with chips and cosmetic imperfections on it? Like I said, this bass plays really well and sounds amazing. Should I not worry about it, fix the cosmetic imperfections, and just buy it? Thoughts? Thanks! - Philippe
That is a fair price but you should offer less, you could find a mint one for that price if not slightly more. If you like the B string go for it, that is my only complaint with Yamaha. The RBX line is a fantastic bang for the buck. I have flipped a few of them and was always impressed by the quality.
Thanks guys. I ended up picking it up. Such a great bang for the buck. Something to learn 5 string on too.
