I've decided to buy a SX Bass.

But im having trouble deciding between the P, the J or the P/J

Never played any... Whats the difference between them?

Newbie question I know... but :help:

Go with the P/J. You can get alot of tone out of em and decide which one you like.
    My two cents!

I would also say P/J . But go to a store and pick up a J, P, and P/J bass and play aorund with them and see which you like best, then get the one you like best. (even if they aren'yt all SX basses u try, you can sorta get the general feel/idea of the lectronics and what not...)

I love P/J basses. Go with that.

    PJ or J.
  6. I'd say the J covers all the essentials for you and has a great tone you can't go wrong with. And a sweet neck.

    Jazzin' ...Bluesin' and Funkin'

i used to have a P, the one i play at school is a PJ, and the one i have now is a J, and ill have to say that the Jazz is the best sounding.
  8. I vote for either P or the J. The J has the range, the P is a little funkier. The P/J's do a half baked job at everything IMO. I've got one and I end up using only one pickup at a time, never blended.
