Discussion in 'Hardware, Setup & Repair [BG]' started by scorpionldr, May 20, 2005.

  1. is it really that wrong to have buzz? i'm not that bad with buzz, but what's wierd is I'm told i have fret buzz, and like, I hardly even notice it. i practically think it gives the sound a bit of character. am i nutz and you think i should take my basses to the local tech to get set up, or do you think it's not that bad. I'm not talking about uncontrollable buzz mind you guys, just like a bit of grit as i'm moving around the fretboard. oh, and i'm using passive basses

I love having my string really low so as to get a bit of string noise it's great. every engineer I've worked with love it, gives the bass a really presence in the mix, that said to much string noise can sound clanky and you lose heaps of sustain. It's all about finding a balance
  3. You're crazy.
