My E string is buzzing. I've tried raising the action but I can't stand it for too long. None of my other stings buzz. So I'm guessing I'm going to have to adjust the neck. Which way should I turn the truss rod? And, how far of a turn should I take? Thanks
It is a mistake to assume that all buzzes require a TR adjustment. Exactly what needs to be adjusted is dictated by the location of the buzz on the neck. Bridge height, nut height, neck relief, fret dressing, loose hardware or combinations of any of these problems can all call for different approaches. It's better to describe a buzz as, 'it buzzes on the E string from the 5th fret to the last fret', etc. H. Snyder
