Bypass or Flange that won't suck my tone?

Discussion in 'Effects [BG]' started by funkedupbass, Sep 16, 2005.

  1. I was looking for a decent flange that won't suck my tone when its off, or is true bypass. I know I could always get a looper, but I don't want to if I don't have to. The boss bf-3, mxr m-117r, digitech txf, ibanez fl-9 any others?
    thanks for any input/ideas.

And you'll have one of the greatest chorus ever made in pedal, too... ;)

Fulltone ChoralFlange is true bypass, and sounds amazing. :hyper:

Yes, the TC is expensive. I got mine 140€ used, it's really cheap for such a thing. Usually, they go at 180-200€ used here in France.

  8. Thanks for the suggestions. 300 is a bit out of my range unfortunatly, although I'm sure they are amazing. It sounds like it would cheaper to get either the boss, digitech, mxr or ibanez and pair it with a looper. Any help with this idear?
    thanks,

Another option is getting one of these kits from keith:

I made a couple of his pedals and they are a ton a fun to do and sound great. Very cheap as well for the quality.

Boss is about as transparent as you can get if you're on a budget. And since their flange breaks $100 if purchased new, you may as well get EH's Electric Mistress for a couple of $20s more. That has true bypass IIRC.
