Hi all, I'm new, and I've been having a hell of a time getting a good distorted sound out of my bass, something I'd like to have.
    To work with I have..
    -Ibanez SR885
    -Digitech BP200 multieffects processor
-Boss DS-1 Distortion (for guitar hehe, just in case its useful)
-SWR Workingman's 1x15 (sounds beautiful with a clean channel)
Now I've heard I'd need to invest in a 4x10 cab to get even a remotely good distorted sound... need to know if this is the case.
What I have in mind is something like byron from strapping young lad's sound... heres a song by them, the bass is somewhat in the background in the mix but its got a very good sound if you can make it out.

Any idea in how you get this sound or something similar to it would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks for your time...

Im gonna move this to amps since your question is somewhat asking if you need to invest in a 4x10 to get a good distorted sound. I think you'll get more results there.
