    Hello, looking for some help.

I'd like to use the Boss MS-3 patches to change presets in the Source Audio C4 Synth.

I'm still confused about MIDI and how to set this up.

The switcher has USB and MIDI but the C4 only has USB. Will I need a MIDI USB interface between the two units in order for them to communicate? I understand Source Audio offers the Neuro Hub but from their description of it I can't quite understand what its purpose is.

The Neuro hub acts as a Midi interface to all / any Source Audio products. So you would plug a midi cable from the Midi out of your Boss MS-3 and plug it into a Neuro hub. Then the hub has 6 round ports (and cables) and one of them needs to connect to your round control port on your C4. You'll need to assign a midi channel to you Boss MS-3, one to your Neuro hub and one to your C4. Then it's just a matter of setting up patches and internal settings on both units.

The other option is a Disaster Area gHost. It uses the USB port on the C4 and MIDI between the Boss and gHost.

The advantage goes to the SA Hub if you have multiple SA pedals, while the DA gHost works well for pedals from other manufacturers as well as SA, blending brands that use USB ports for MIDI.

Thanks guys!! My Disaster Area Designs midi interface arrived today and it works exactly as it should (basically in place of the Neuro Hub) Thanks so much for laying it out clearly :)
