Cab Grabber/ Amp Clamp S-Series/ Something else?

    Discussion in this thread. The other usual suspects in this category are the Z-Bar and LP's drum Claw (designed for drums, but usable as an amp-mic clamp).

    Used 'em all. Unless your studio's particularly small and crowded, I'd go with a regular stand (more flexible placement). IME, the compact mic mounts are most useful on stage.

    I was wondering where my question was best suited - I thought recording gear though I really meant for live use. Looks like I missed the boat on this one in the other thread...
