New DIY cab over here. Spent a little time with Winisd and actually paid attention to some of the advice on here. Learned a lot from mistakes I made on the first iteration. What I had were a couple 2225H recones. I redesigned the cabinet around them and hit them with 600 watts in the program to get the port tuning correct at volume. Cab has spine and inter-wall bracing, egg crate damping and 14 gauge wiring. Coated with Duplicolor bed armour. Kinda lumpy, but has no odour and dries fast in a low humidity, warm environment. Good with the bad, I reckon. Since this product has kevlar, I suppose you could say the cab is bullet proof. Man does it move some air. All in all a great experience. PS, cab is for my kid. His name is Mack.
I was hoping for gaudy. He wanted mauve and yellow but I kiboshed that on the basis of how flimsy tolex is. We compromised.
