Cabinet Advice

I have an Ashdown MAG 300 head and an Avatar SB112 right now. I would like another cabinet and my preferences are another SB112 or save up for a 4X10. I like the rich and thunderous bass tone of the SB112 and I have all the punch I want already. I would like to keep the tone I have now but want more volume. I'm wondering if having a 4X10 instead of another SB112 would still give me nice bassy low end like the one SB112 I have now. I've never played through a 4X10 so could you tell me how the tone of two SB112s compares to one SB112 and one 4X10?
  2. Definately stick with the SB112 if you like your tone the way it is. Two of them will sound similar to one but louder. There may be an aparant gain in low end when using two of them because of phase issues in the higher end (that's just how it is with multi speaker rigs).
