I'm selling my 4-ohm Eden D212XLT to a friend who has a Hartke 3500 mono head. The back of the head has two speaker outputs labeled 8 ohms. If he hooked up two 8-ohm cabinets to the head, he'd be running at 4 ohms. I'm wondering if he can go ahead and plug the 4-ohm 212 into one of the outputs (with no other cabinets) and operate safely. Seems to me it would be OK, because the amp is designed to operate at 4 ohms, and the two outputs are undoubtedly linked in parallel. Any thoughts?

    Should be no problem!
It's just a case of misleading labelling!
I've owned a Hartke 2000 (same head with less power) for years and always used it with one 4Ohm cab.
Also the manual says that you can connect either one 4Ohm or two 8Ohm cabs.

Thanks. The manual is long gone, so I just wanted to make sure.
