I have the yba200 traynor w/matching cabinet. Don't care much for the 15 in it. Was wondering if a six or eight 10 cabinet would be good. Can anyone give me some advice, please? I play 70's p basses and like a good, clean full sound. No mud.

Bergantino NV series cabs. Take your pick of the 610, 215, or 425.

  4. I would avoid the avatar neo cabs, i tried the 212 with my YBA200 and it was nothing but speaker distortion. In my opinion the YBA200 sounded great with almost any Ampeg cab I tried, the 810, 610, 410 and the 412. Also the Yorkville 8x8 cab sounded nice if you are looking for a little more hi-fi tone.

Some people here have said that this head and the Berg NV series are not a good match, but I don't have any experience with that.

Im running mine with an Ampeg 8x10. I put KT-88's in it and switched to 12at7's (NOS Mullard) for the preamps. Sounds great...warm, thick, and full sounding with flats on my Ric. I have the Avatar NEO 212 as well. I wouldnt recommend it with this head at all.

thanks for the responses. I'm a newcomer, so bear with me. I think I'll go w/ a610 or 810, cause I like to have speakers chest high. Kick out the jams, muther&%#&%@!

  7. thats why I went with the 610 over the 412, but I may add 210 as well.

Why don't you try the GK neo 412.It is rated at 1200 watts a 4 ohm's and is 40" tall. That is taller then a 610 but shorter then an 810..........and i weigh's only 118lb's.which is a lot lighter then most of though's other cab's too.And i heard it kick's butt.BIG TIME!!!!!!!!! Check out and see what you think.Good Luck in your surch.
