I have a TX and a CB. I think I like the CB better in general.

Mainly stuff like Tool, Karnivool, Periphery. But from time to time I like to breakout my p-bass and play some Motown :). I have an FEA Labs Opti FET that is quite nice. Just wondering if this is "better". Maybe I also just have too much money lol

Compressors by FEA are as nice as they come - they're built like tanks, with top-shelf components & sound.
I've got an FEA DE-CL on order, and I cant wait to get my hands on it!

Not 'better', which is subjective, but noticeably 'different'.

Hi all, so is it safe to say the compact deluxe is the same as the bass version just with a HPF? Deciding between the two, thanks.

I have the TX and the GP, but I also feel like I should buy a CB. What was the question again?

You should sell me the GP and buy a CB.....

  9. No, the Deluxe has no HPF, but separate controls for Attack and Release while the Compact Bass has a combined control for Attack and Release and the HPF. The HPF - kind of a "pseudo" Side-Chain - makes a lot of sense for bass.

But then I would not have the GP anymore.

The clean blend on the CB also rocks my world.

  15. Standard, Lundahl.

That would be my choices, in that order.

Those choices are based on listening to an online extensive test between the original offerings. I liked the Standard the best. Seemed to me it was the least coloured, though I liked the colour of the Lundahl. It took many repeated listenings over the course of a few days because the differences are so subtle (maybe not as subtle in person, but I don't have that luxury).

Also, the Standard works great as a pedal riser for a smaller pedal.

Anyone have any experience regarding standard big box Cali76 and the Compact Deluxe?

A local guy is trying to trade me.
