My first thought was 'Batman.' Am I a bad person?

Horrible story, but I'm sure the father would do it a million times over if given the chance.

A bad end to a good man.

Wow, that's just horrible. The kind of person we need more of around is now tragically gone while the kind we've never needed sees another day. Terrible.

  6. Not cool at all. Heartbreaking in fact :(

Why would that make him a bad person? Comics and their storylines are reflections of society, like all literature and art. I think it's cool that a character like that can take tragedy and turn it into a source of strength, even if it is fiction.

Oh, "Am I a bad person" is something of a TBOT in-joke.

Seriously though, very sad. And comic books are awesome.

It is horrible and very sad.

But I don't think the father is a hero; he is a FATHER, a very loving and brave father.

Wouldn't most of you fathers cover your kids if you heard gun shots let alone being shot at?

Few years ago there was this kid who fell off the window, the father jump after his kid, grabbed him in mid air and landed on his back. Kid was fine, father was injured but nothing serious.

Fathers and mothers sacrifice themselves every day, maybe not covering their kids from bullets or jumping off windows but keeping quiet when their stupid ****** bosses yell at them for no good reason, putting up for all the bull**** other people give them, working for extra hours that's killing them on the inside etc. just so that they could provide a better life for their kids.

And the sad part is, most of us kids, take that sacrifice for granted for a long long time...

  13. That just about says it all
    Very nicely said

  14. I think a lot of people would've done that for their child. It's good and bad to see that happen. Good to know that someone cares enough. Bad cause that man is no longer with us.
