    Hey Steve,

So how did your gigs go this month? Please post letting us all know! :) Also, how was NAMM, by the way?

Hope someday you can do an East Coast tour. I'd love to see ya! :)

    Be well,

    Hi Steph,

thanks for asking - I'm back on home turf now, back into teaching, and getting ready to release my duo CD towards the end of march/beginning of april...

The tour went really well, thanks - a couple of the shows were pretty small (both Monday nights, so not really a surprise there), but the rest, particularly Sacramento and Santa Cruz were amazing - got some good recordings from it, some of which should be on my website before too long... Got to meet up with a few TB people - Max Valentino, Jeremy Cohen, John Turner (congrats on the marraige, John!), etc.

NAMM was great as well - it's a little crazy, with all the schmoozing and sales guys going a bit crazy, as well as the sad, crass stuff like the 'dean girls' (like, porn stars have anything at all to do with music? nope, just another sad-ass way to try and sell guitars to inadequate guys... yet another industry attempt to turn playing guitar and bass into a 'guy thing' - if ever anyone needed a great reason never to buy a Dean bass, there it is)

Anyway, NAMM was fun - I got to meet up with lots of old friends, try out some new gear (the new Ashdown mini-cabs are great, as are the new cabs by Accugroove. Parker Fly bass is nice, all the usual suspects like Modulus, Zon, MTD etc. there with some lovely instruments)

I was playing at the Modulus and Ashdown stands, and had great fun doing that - it's amazing how many people still haven't seen anyone doing looping stuff before...

all in all, a great trip - thanks to everyone who came and said hi at the gigs and NAMM - hopefully I'll be out on the East Coast later in the year - I'm working on it at the moment...

    take care
