ps: You're not going to find many photos from owners yet as most (other than a dozen or so) have not been shipped out yet from the factory.

The 5 string Aero pickups are way late getting to the factory.

Somebody needs to get off his surfboard over in HI and start winding faster!

Yeah, I got one of those too. My photo is from before I got mine from Jeannies. I got a tort also, which I thought would look great with the LPB. But, maybe because of the mild sparkle, it just didn't look right with the LPB - probably looks great with the black though.

You mean this one David? I had the good fortune of scoring the Tort Pick Guard from David Wilson (Jeannies) for my new Black Sparkle DJ5. It is STELLAR. I have better pics to email. PM if anyone wants them. Too large to attach here on Talkbass. I also bought a white pearlized Pick guard from Jeannies too. A DJ5 owner needs his options ya know! :bag:

Yote and I did some bass swapping. He came out of it with two of my favorite basses, and I ended up with just one of his (but man what a one it is!)

The bass I got is sort of one of a kind, I'll be getting another DJ5 before too long.

Any of you have/used to have a StingRay5? How does the DJ5 neck comapre to a SR5 neck?

Spacing is more natural on the DJ5. Neck is just more comfy all the way around. I found the MM5 neck to be a little chunkier and a little too narrow at the nut for my liking. - Gary

I think the SR5 neck is perfect..... :meh: Hopefully it shouldn't be a big deal....

I believe from past posts that all Lakland Skyline 5 string necks are the same dimensions. It should be the same as a 55-02.
