can a bass use a PM7 and DE7?

Discussion in 'Effects [BG]' started by amature, Jun 29, 2005.

  1. k, i have been playing bass for a year and a half and have found the wonderful world of effects. I have an ibanez PD7 distortion pedal and now i'm hungry for more. I was wondering if a bass can use the ibanez stereo/delay effect and the phase modulator effect? I have been wondering if basses can utilize some guitar effects for a good while now. Thank you for your help.

many guitar effects arent designed for processing the low frequncy on your bass, but many other are.

you wont break anything so try!

probably the delay will work fine, with the phaser it may work fine, or will cut the low freq, or maybe let the low freq pass unaffected and only "phase" on the mid/treble.....

    time to experiment!

i have the PM7 and i really like it... it gives a nice sci-fi pulse.. it doesnt seem to me to lose a great deal of low end.

My Digi Delay works fine with a slight change in the tonal character.
