can anyone compare nickel Lo-Riders to stainless Lo-Riders?

  1. i'm talking tone and flexibility.

are the nickels as tight as the stainless steels, or at least tighter than your average nickel roundwound? i like nice tight strings.

tonewise, how do they compare? if the nickels are more middy and growly, i'll definitely want to try them, but does anyone have experience with both? thanks.

I've used them both but it's been a while. I don't remember much about the tension but the Nickel's (my preference) weren't as twangy and bright, had a smoother feel and a warmer low end response, IMO.

I hope that helped some. I have since switched to Elixir's and, for the moment, am convinced I have now found "my" strings. DR's would be my 2nd choice these days.
