Can anyone here tall me much about Laney.

    I picked up a used 100 Watt Linebacker Bass Head made by Laney. I noticed they were a British. So can anyone tell me the reliablity history of these amplifiers.

    Also I got a closed back Peavey Guitar cab, with guitar speakers in it. It does ok, but I am planning on putting 2x12 Black Widows in it.

    I'm not familiar with that particular model, but i bought a laney richter amp and 15" cab a fair few years back and never had any bother whatsoever. I sold the amp last year to one of my mates for something more powerful, but i know it's still running ok, and i still use the 15" speaker now, although that's gonna be sold for something a little more portable!

    So yeah, Laney equipment gets my thumbs up!

    I use a Laney B1 head and have had no problems with reliability. The company are very helpful as well if you need to phone with technical enquiries.

    Their new Richter ( ? ) gear got a very good review in latest Gu*****ist.
