Can anyone identify this bass body?

    That looks like a fairly typical Japanese-made Matsumoku body from the 70's or 80's. The pickups look like that era, too. Kramer is also one possible brand - they had a number of laminated bodies with contrasting woods.

    My first thought was Vantage, made by Matsumoku

    I knew that combination of pickup and bridge was teasing me, could almost see the headstock in my mind - yup, Vantage sounds right.

    If not for the three point bridge my guess would've been SD Curlee. It looks like something from Matsomatsu, a Memphis or something out of that family tree

  7. Could be a Hondo. The pickup looks like a Dimarzio and they made some single pickup models I believe. Here is a pic of a 2 pickup version.
