New member, first time post. Been playing bass just casually for a couple years (mostly either hard rock or jazz styles). Lately I've taken an interest in learning some of the classic funk bass tunes, but I'm a newb in that music genre. I ran across a bass groove that *I know* I have heard somewhere before in a classic funk song. But for the life of me I can't figure out what the original song is. I've been listening and listening, and I can't find it in any of the songs that I thought it was. I keep wanting to say it is from the song "Uptown Funk" or from a Fat Larry's Band song, but those are not it. I'm hoping to find the original song to learn from. If there are any funk bass experts out there I'd sure appreciate a little help finding the original tune. Thanks! The groove in question is in this video, from 2:09 to 2:22.

Not quite the bassline but it's 'Got To Be Real' by Cheryl Lynn.
