I am looking for a hipower stereo power amp that weighs in at like nothing.
Maybe 400 watts per side or more? Who make these things?
    Any clues??

If you need >= 400 watts per side, you could get two acoustic image focus sa's (600 watts ea--3.5 lbs ea) for a total of 7 pounds and 1200 watts. Also, each amp is only 10x7x3 inches.

Have you considered a digital amp? I was looking at lightweight power amps recently and foun it was either a PLX, or something from Powersoft. Now be warned the digital's arent cheap, but it'll be the last amp you ever buy, especially if you get one of the multi channel varieties. We're talking amps up to 2000w per side at 2 ohms that are 1 RU and weigh about 8 kg.
