Can anyone think of a coated, non-taper, 35"scale B?

I like Elixers, but I can't stand tapered B strings. I think D'addario's coated B strings are all tapered as well. Are there any others out there that might fit on a bass with a 35" scale?

    Thanks,

By coated, do you mean nylon tapewounds or anything like that? Or are coated strings something else entirely?

Are the DR Black Beauties tapered?

ooo, good call. I haven't used DRs in years, but I liked those...I'm wondering if they come in 6 string, though...

Also: DR Bootzillas, which are an uncolored, coated, non-tapered SS string. They're basically the same as the Black Beauties but look conventional. Hard to find, too. I have .45, .65, .85, .105 & .130 on my 5-string. Nice, fat, even tone, great growl and presence. A little thin on the treble end of things, but they're made for funk and rock, not jazz. I'm not sure they make a 6-string set.

Wow thanks guys! VifferMike, will the Bootzillas fit on 35" scale? I think all DRs do if I'm not mistaken. I'll look into these.

    Cheers,
