Can I go direct and get stage sound???

Discussion in 'Amps and Cabs [BG]' started by chbecker, Oct 2, 2001.

  1. I play through am ART tube channel pre-amp and I have a direct out going into the board/PA. With this setup I am not getting a signal to my poweramp on stage even though it is connected to the other pre-amp out. The pre-amp seems to only allow direct or amp. If I unplug the direct line, I get signal to my power amp again. Is there a way I can have both? Is there some kind of splitter I need to put in to give me two active pre-amp outs?

Yeah. It's called a splitter. Hosa and others make them. One plug splits into two. Send one to the board, one to the power amp. No prob.
  3. I thought that a regular "Y" adapter would create a voltage level or signal strength issue. Is that not the case?
