    Hey everyone.
I have inherited a Matamp GT1 from a relative who has left the country with work.....trouble is I play bass and wondered if it would be a suitable head considering it is a guitar head.I have asked on a couple of other forums and have been told it's fine and that I will need a bass cab.It might sound silly of me to ask....but I'm not a real gear head.I have heard that the Matamp GT series is fine for bass too.
Any help and advice would be appreciated.
    All the best

Yep, just plug it up to a bass cab and turn it up!
  3. But first you owe a pic of the beast.

Pair that up with an old 8x10 or a 2x15 and you'll have yourself a great bass rig!
  5. Choose well for your cab(s), paying attention to dispersion and impedance, as well as tone.

I use a Matamp 1224 with bass into a 2x15 bass cab. I find that using some sort of bass eq or preamp in the fx loop helps to get the deep lows going. Right now I use a Sansamp Bass Driver with the blend on just a little and that sounds great.
