You can send the signal of your preamp to a seperate power amp using the FX-send or the line-out. This way you can get louder

You can send the signal of an external preamp to the poweramp section of your head using the FX-return. This way you can get a different sound but you can't get louder, because you still have the same power.

  3. Matt's right! I'm gonna add a 1100 watt used QSC poweramp to my 15" combo with effects loop. Just make sure the speaker plugs into the poweramp.

thanks sooo much i am going to buy a power amp
now to run with my cabs

  5. good example is the warwick subwoofer..
it's a single 15" cab with built-in 300w poweramp.. you just plug it into your 2x12 combo, and boom, kick-ass low-end boost !
