So my parents found this baseball in the US, it appears to be from 11/11/04. If im correct, that's about the time the redsox won their championship. The ball says RED SOX #1 on it and stuff like that and is signed by 4 people. I don't know much about baseball, can some redsox fans tell me who these people are and how important they are on the team, and how much this ball could be sold for on ebay maybe?

No one knows? Come on.... No New England people out there?

  3. Obviously, Coach Ralph, Bart Fitz, Jay Z and Rofof Catto.

    Duh.

Oh, and they obviously don't like REO Speedwagon to write "REO Sux."

The first autograph is from a guy named Ralph Treuel. He was the pitching coach for the Red Sox in 2001. He has roamed around in the Red Sox minor league system as a coach for years. At this time, and in 2004 when your ball was signed, he is the coach of the Red Sox rookie team in the Gulf Coast League. They play in Florida around the Tampa area I believe.

I can speculate on the others, but that is the only one I am sure of.

Its relieving to know that I'm not the only person who's brain automatically wants to think time signatures....

But have you been racking that brain to figure out how to count 9/6?

Hm, I guess it's synonymous with 3/2... but... is it really?

I recently heard tell of a piece that was written in Pi against e. I'm not sure how the composer figured it, but I would like to hear it.

    Pi could be 22/7.

Anyone else that can identify the other 3 people?

well 22/7 works to get to pi, but how do you count music in /7 ?

  12. Jazzin'

    Jazzin' ...Bluesin' and Funkin'

7th notes!;) There are seven 7th notes in 4 beats! And then there are 22 of these 7th notes in a bar.

Anyways, does anybody know what the other 3 (handwritten) signatures (of peoples names, not of musical timings) are?

I was afraid you'd say that. Time to bust out the calculator :p

  15. WHOA!!!! You've got Rofof Catto's autograph?!?!?!

    j/k :D

I have no idea what any of those signatures say... nor can I even guess who they might be from.
