Ok...I've tried out tons of 5s (of the GC variety, not the really cool stuff)...and then I have my little Ibeenhad GSR200. Now a while back, I let you all know that I re-slotted the nut, and now it's BEAD.

And it has a better B string, even tuned down to A than most fives I've tried. Same on the Abuse Bass (Cruise 4)...is there some reason that the B is better on the 4s? Luck of the draw? Or is there some sort of logical explanation why a B on a 4 is better than a B on a 5?

Whoops. let me clear that up.

It's not a sound issue. That I can't really tell. I'm playing through Eden :D. A Rouge would sound good through these.

It's a feel issue. It's tighter, more responsive, has more clarity, has some bite/booty to it and is a generally good B string. that's the funky thing.
