I need to know who recorded this tune, and if possible, what album it's off of. This is just a 10 second soundclip. CLICK HERE TO LISTEN
Hey X, I listened to it earlier but when I came back nobody had posted yet. The guitarist's tone sounds alot to me like a guy named Brad Gillis, he played with Ozzy some and also Night Ranger. The only thing is he wasn't playing lightning scales like Gillis does so I'm not sure. Hope this helps.
stumped, keep tryin I find it hard to believe you could find a song that no one on this forum knows about
I'm also stumped! It does sound like a live version of a Medwyn Goodall tune, though!..............but I doubt he'd take to the stage (with a live electric guitar as well!) www.deangaudoin.com
Thanks for giving it a shot, guys. The tune is on a casette that I made about 14 years ago while I was in L.A., with a bunch of other stuff ie. Di Meola, Scott Henderson - stuff that I was interested in covering. The casette surfaced recently, minus the insert that had all the titles and info. I want to cover that tune, but would like to know who played it, so I can give proper credit where due. It would be in the jazz (fusion?) genre, so I was hoping one of you jazzer types might recognize it. Here's another short clip of the beginning of the tune. CLICK HERE FOR ANOTHER EXCERPT
That second exerpt almost sounds like Kitaro. I don't know if that helps or not, but the first one is a true mystery.
Hey Xavier, Anyone consider Mike Oldfield? Don't know for sure, but it sounds like it could belong to him. Lisa
Lisa is in the ballpark, but I don't think it's Mike. Well, actually, I thought it might be another Mike - Stern - but then again, probably not. Has anyone noticed an uncanny similarity between this tune and the theme for X-Files?
