It's not worth a thing. Give it to me.
  5. I'm not too familiar with Ibbys, but it looks like one of the intro models. I've heard great things about them, and I loved my SR505 when I had it. I'm sure someone will jump in with more useful info, but it looks to me like you have a pretty nice bass there!

Looks like a mid 90s or late 80s Ibanez Roadstar Bass. Not a bad one at all.
  7. I think you got a nice Ibanez SRX series dropped on ya. Have fun with it!
  8. It's a nice bass. Not necessarily "intro" but not a Prestige either.

Some are called SRX or end with DX like SR400DX or SRX400 I think. A headstock photo would help because it says what it is on the back. It's active, probably could use new strings and a setup.

As for worth, that question isn't allowed unless you either:

    A) Upgrade to a supporting membership status or

    B) Word the question differently. Like this: "My neighbor wants to sell this to me for X dollars. Is it worth it?"

    Keep it and play it.
  9. That's an Ibanez SRX2EX2. Much more recent than the Roadstars. Not a bad bass at all. I used to have one that I played for years. They're an entry level/intermediate level bass with active electronics that have decent sound to them. I sold mine a few years ago to a friend for about $200. I think they're going new for between $250 and $300, but I haven't checked a current price in a while.
  10. Disregard what I said about new prices. The model's been discontinued, so that's outdated info and there's no current price to check.

    Great Grandparents!

Go give 'em a kiss -

I tried one of these at Guitar Center and really liked it.
Ibanez is a great value for the money and the one I played
felt and sounded like a much more expensive instrument.
It was no slouch by any means and should give you many
years of pleasure without having to invest in other basses.

    Plus it looks awesome.

a whole bunch nicer than my first couple of basses. My advice; Learn to play, make some money, have some fun. Oh, and try not to get addicted toplaying the bass in a band.........
