    with the serial number?

it's a 2003 mia p, sunburst w/rosewood. next to some pictures it looks like ash, some it looks alder. it's a two piece body. serial number z4038031.

  2. Post some pictures if you can.

  3. I dunno HOW you'd find out by looking at Fender.com etc or online. Maybe someone who owns one-same model etc can help. Otherwise if U can find a bit of "naked" wood- (in the neck pocket for example - if U take the neck off) - AFAIK Ash has a much LIGHTER coloring-almost "blonde", where as ALDER is a darker "light BROWN" type color.

I don't know that it matters what wood it has. If it sounds good, what more do you need to know?

Ash is usually more figured than alder, which is pretty plain.

If it were up to you, there would be no TalkBass.
