Can you Identify this Ampeg?

  1. Here is a pic from a show and i was wondering wwho could identify that Ampeg head...The cab i believe is a SVT 8X10 but the head is eluding me...Is it an SVT or a new fangled ampeg?

    :D Those are beer bottles!!

    It's an older Ampeg - looks like an SVT but I'm not an expert.

    Its an SVT. Either an old one, or part of the vintage line.

    Im almost positive.

  6. Definately an old SVT. I've owned 4 "older" SVT heads at one time or another. The main difference I found between the old and really old SVT heads are the old ones have a rocker style on/off switch wheras the older ones use toggle switches. Anyway you slice it, that's an SVT my low end friend.

    Holy crap, I played through one that looked exactly like that at my last gig. Its an old age all tube svt. Unbelievable sound. This is my pick of the head...
  8. Yep, that's an older SVT. The reissues don't look like that.
