Thanks to member Michael Glynn for bringing this photo to my attention. This is the late Danish jazz double bass virtuoso Niels-Henning Ørsted Pedersen in 1967. He performed on bass guitar only rarely, but here he is with an unidentified short-scale hollowbody bass. The headstock design looks a bit Hofner-ish. Does anyone have any idea of what make and model this instrument is?

Headstock looks like "Hoyer"... a quick spin through Pinterest shows several Hoyer basses with similar elements, but really none of them appear to nail it, (nor is there much consistency within the brand as a whole)... Kudos on even finding a pic with him holding an electric!!

This is a German made Hoyer model 64(I) from the mid-late 60's.
