Hey, new to the forum! I've long scoured the forums for info when purchasing new gear but I've never posted. Thanks for having me!

I apologize if this has been covered repeatedly but I didn't find anything specifically related to this question: can you pair an SVT-7 Pro with 2 SVT-410HLF Cabs???

I'm not very tech savvy when it comes to ohms & watts. I'm very right-brain oriented.

    Thanks for your help!!!

  3. No is the correct answer. Here's why. The pro 7 amp is a 4 or 8 ohm amp. The hlf's are 4 ohm cabs. If you run two 4 ohm cabs together you will end up with 2 ohms. Running a 4 ohm amp into 2 ohms will burn up the amp. If you can find two 8 ohm cabs ,you will be able to use them with the Pro 7. Two 8 om cabs end up with a 4 ohm load which is safe for the Pro 7. You can run only one 4 ohm cab with the Pro 7.

Funny you should ask - I used to have the SVT 410HLF, mated to the SVT 7 Pro head, which I still have. Now I run two PF 115 HE's from the same head. They ar e8 ohm each, so, resistance wise, the head see's the same load. I like the sound and flexibility of the two PF 115's better than the 410.
  5. Fixed it for ya! :D
