Canada tax and duty system for travellers

    Hi guys and girls ,
    I was thinking about try one of Canada music school programmes.
    What I am thinking about is should I pay tax for carrying my bass guitar into their country ?
    Or no money charge over me for enter their country and attend to their music school .
    How does it work ?
    If I carry any instrument ,should pay any duty in their boarder or not ?

    Canada, Eh!
    There is no charge for bringing your personal instrument(s) in!

    But you should register it with the border services people in your home country before you leave , otherwise they might try to charge you tax and duty on it when you come home with it!
